7. Read and watch a book to movie adaptation
Tuesday's With Morrie

At the time of this writing, I haven't watched the movie yet, however the book is read.
It was a bit of a surprise. I had assumed it was a novel since the author is a novel writer. It wasn't. It was the real life experiences of Mitch and his favorite college professor, Morrie Schwartz.
When Mitch, on the fast track of being a celebrity sports writer, is flicking around channels one night, he sees his favorite professor on Nightline with Ted Koppel, talking about how ALS is slowly killing him. He contacts Morrie and soon is taking weekly plane trips to meet his old professor in his home every Tuesday, where Morrie gives him one last class on life, love, and learning to love life. As Morrie slowly dies in front of Mitch for fourteen weeks, Morrie sees life more clearly now as he learns to let it go and he shares his wisdom with whomever is interested. "We're Tuesday people," Mitch says. Morrie agrees.
This book is filled with Morrie's wisdom and the result is a new outlook for Mitch - and a new life.
I'll be watching the movie tonight. The copy of the book I read was a tenth anniversary issue with Mitch providing an update. In it he says that Jack Lemon told him that Morrie Schwartz was the his favorite role.

As an adult she returned to her reserve and embraced her heritage and has been working for Aboriginal rights.
