Advent Blog Day 17: Stuart Mclean and the Vinyl Cafe

Stuart McLean (1948-2017) was a Canadian radio broadcaster who was famous for his Vinyl Cafe stories. The name came from the fictional setting of a small record store in Atlantic Canada, and eventually focused on the owner Dave, his wife Morley, their children Sam and Stephanie, and Dave's friends. The radio show aired every weekend on the CBC, and Mclean turned many of his stories into a series of best selling books. Christmas at the Vinyl Cafe features the Christmas stories, developed for his annual Christmas tour through Canada. Here's a recording of Christmas Present. Enjoy. Oh, and for you knitting people - you should really like this one!
