My Post Disappeared!!!!!!

I spent hours on a post; it was about what I would want in a house and decorating and stuff like that...and while I was still writing it, it, it, - it DISAPPEARED! Just up and left. When I was practically done! Oh, believe me, I looked. I looked in the drafts, in the trash, in the scheduled and the preview. The thing just disappeared into oblivion. Snatched away by the demons that live in technology. I don't want to rewrite it right now. It's too traumatic. So instead I'm going to share a song I wrote—some background. A few years ago I was in a public park, and there was a church gathering with a preacher. He was dressed in ratty jeans and a T-shirt, going for that "I'm just one of you vibe." He talked about his wicked life and how he was saved. Fine. Great. Hallelujah. But then he said something really stupid. (Paraphrasing here) "When I accepted God, my life got better! Nothing bad happened. I was saved for the Lord, and I was saved in this life, and my life became honkey dory, and all my dreams came true! If you give your life to Jesus now, you can have and be whatever you want!" This is part of that prosperity gospel. "Just declare it, and you will have it." It's a false gospel. If it were true, I would be thin and rich now. If it were true, there would be no hardships for anyone. Think about it. If you knew that you could get whatever you wanted just by asking God, wouldn't you become a believer just based on that? If it were true, then there would be no reason for a Savior. If it were true, none of the apostles would have suffered the way they did. God is not a genie. He doesn't grant wishes. But He does answer your prayers. Yes. No. Later. If it were true, my post wouldn't have disappeared! So here's the song I wrote about that. I wrote it for my upcoming devotional "Fruits of the Spirit: Joy". Full disclosure here. I wrote the lyrics. Not the music, and it's not my voice. I don't even have a cover to show you yet. Just click the link. It should magically appear. https://suno.com/s/mkzqWg0FUxbHzlCC Joy In the Morning
